How many times have you heard, “You must have a written business plan”? Well forget that…here are some new ways to look at things:
- Business plans build a false reality, their just guesswork and fantasy at best and sometimes we become so intent on following the written plan we miss opportunities along the way.
- When you’re getting started in business spend most of your time on short term actions, not obsessing over hundreds of hypothetical scenarios that will probably never come to fruit.
- Filing cabinets are full of fossilized ideas, don’t fall into this trap. Planning to some degree is needed but don’t burn hours of productive time on it.
- Ideas don’t get you nearly as far as actions. Take decisive action as often as possible.
